Abstract: Mining with full tailing filling is the development tendency to exploit iron ore.Reducing the mining cost is the only way to keep iron ore filling stoping.With water-quenched slag as main raw material，alkali and salt as a composite activator，a new type of full-tailing cementing material called as KWF (full tailings consolidated powder in mine) was obtained.Compared with the cement，the KWF has features of lower cost and higher strength.It has obvious advantage for the full tailing filling with high clay.The KWF instead of cement to be used in filling mining can reduce the cost of filling mining，and also realize the comprehensive utilization of the solid waste，so as to protect the environment and realize no waste mining.The KWF has been produced by Tanglong New Building Material Co.，Ltd.and applied in the iron mine in Dongkai mining company with significant economic and social benefits obtained.It lays a foundation for the filling stoping of large lean iron ore in Sijiaying district.
