Flotation Performance of the New Frother 250A on a Copper Ore in Anhui

Abstract: The 250A is a new,inexpensive,readily biodegradable,less polluting copper frother which is newly developed by China University of Mining and Technology.To test its efficiency,copper flotation experiment were carried out on a certain low grade copper ore from Tongling in Anhui Province.Under the condition that grinding fineness of -0.074 mm account for 75%,a condition experiment was carried out to estimated dosage of roughing and a comparative test was carried out to compare flotation effect of two frothers with reference to field process.The results show that,under situation of the total dosage of 250A 100 g/t,copper concentrate contained 21.56% Cu and recovery rate of 87.32% was obtained;Correspondingly,under condition of the total dosage of pine camphor oil 150 g/t,the copper concentrates contained 21.67% Cu and recovery rate of 87.17% were achieved.Obviously,250A is high efficient and helpful to reduce cost and increase benefit for copper enterprise.
