Abstract: To design a rational low-elevation long-distance pipeline pumping transport system, a theoretical study on the pipe resistance for the pipe selection for Maluping Mine, Kaiyang Phosphorus Mining Group were carried out. The result shows that the 20# seamless steel pipe with an outside diameter of 140 mm and a wall thickness of 9.5 mm can fully satisfy the requirement for backfilling slurry transport at a 16 MPa hydrostatic pressure. The calculation show that the maximum transmission resistance will be 2 083.04~15 368.53 kPa for a slurry with a concentration of 53%~58% and velocity of 1.6~2 m/s,providing a rational design basis for the pipeline pumping system.
