Abstract: The ground penetrating radar is a geophysical method using high-frequency radio waves to assure the distribution of the internal materialThe negative impact of fault，groundwater，fracture on the geological circumstances often induces collapse，cave，gushing water and other geological disastersThis method can accurately forecast the geological conditions within about 20 meters in front of work faceTaking the examples，a specific interpretation on the geological radar scanned image was carried out，and the actual excavation of the tunnel was tracked on siteA comparison between the design and forecasting results and the exposed actual conditions was made，showing that the ground penetrating radar is a better method of TSP in tunnel construction
