Abstract: In light of the rockmass movement induced by the underground mining in metal mines, a three-dimensional theoretical model for forecasting and analyzing the ground surface movement is established based on the theory of elastic mechanics. It is used in forecasting the ground surface movement induced by the underground mining in Luzhong Iron Mine. In the analysis process, Matlab software is used in the numerical integration calculation and mapping. The calculation and analysis of the real engineering case show that the theoretical calculation results are basically in conformity to those practically measured. It can thus be seen that this mathematical model can satisfy the precision requirement of engineering and is suitable for studying the rockmass movement and displacement induced by the underground mining in metal mines and for assessing the safety of ground buildings.
