Abstract: A mine used the technology of shaft formation by long hole blasting to construct a long raise. As the developed joint and fissures in local rockmass would seriously affect the blasting effect and efficiency, it was proposed to use borehole TV to take the un-impacted in-situ photograph of the internal wall of the borehole from the front and side angles for analyzing the stratum structure, joint and fissure and mapping the sectional drawing of the strata , which can make it possible to regulate the explosive charging structure and the blasting scheme according to the occurrence state of the structural plane so as to avoid the blasting accident and rapidly pass through the structural plane. The practice has shown that borehole TV-assisted shaft formation by long-hole blasting has the advantages of high visualization, low cost, safety and high efficiency.
