Abstract: Based on the mechanism analysis of shotcrete-bolt support, the main cause of support failure was found to be the mismatch between its stiffness and ultimate distortion and the wall rock. In light of the characteristic of loose rockmass and existing problems of bolt-mesh support, a series of industrial tests on mechanized support technology of wet-mix shotcrete and resin bolt were conducted. Firstly, the reasonable proportion, tensile strength and compressive strength of polypropylene fiber concrete (PFC) were obtained, and the optimal shotcrete thickness of main decline was determined to be 68~90 mm. Secondly, φ25 mm×2 400 mm resin bolts with full-size anchorage were introduced gradually instead of spilt set. High efficiency mechanized bolt installation was carried out by Boomer 282 jumbo. The techno-economical comparative analysis indicates that the united support of wet-mix shotcrete and resin bolts has a smaller support cost per meter and more reliable engineering quality, especially applicable for tunnel development support in loose and broken rock.
