Abstract: Partial magnetic iron minerals and sulfur minerals were contained in a certain Sichuan tailings from iron ore separation.According to the nature of the tailings，beneficiation tests on iron concentration are made by the screening classification- -0.5 mm gravity pre-concentration-sulfur flotation from crude concentrate after gravity separation - tailings flotation magnetic separation process.Three kinds of products like sulfur concentrate，strong magnetic iron concentrates and weak magnetic iron concentrates were got，where Sulfur concentrate is grading at 39.66% at an 82.54% recovery，strong magnetic iron concentrate is grading at 62.28% at a 32.59%% recovery，and weak magnetic iron concentrate grading at 51.87% at a 5.36% recovery respectively.
