Abstract: Based on a kind of high sulphur products pressure-leached from zinc by means of sulphur preferential floatation, with interaction of sodium sulfide and OL-IID, as the depressant, and hexametaphosphate, as the despersing agent, carriedout the floatation separation of sulfur from sphalerite.Through the process of single-stage roughing, two-stage scavenging and four-stage cleaning, and eventually, the sulfur and zinc concentration  respectively contain 92.23% of sulfur with 2.45% of zinc, and 73.10% of sulfur with 12.97% of zinc,The Zinc and sulfur get effective separation and recovery compared to current process.

Key words: Leached residue, Zinc suppression and sulfur floatation, Separation sulfur from zinc
