Abstract: Mining equipments as an important part in mining safety production, play a vital role in preventing and reducing the mine casualties, protecting the safety of staff and securing the mine safety. the initial evaluation index system is determined based on the mining equipment safety detection, and the principal component analysis is adopted to analyze comprehensively the testing data of the hoist, drain pump, fan and the air compressor, and then the overall safety of the mining equipments is evaluated comprehensively. Finally，this paper analyzes the pros and cons of the eight mining equipments in safety with the cases. The results show that the evaluation can accurately, objectively, comprehensively reflect the safety situation of mining equipment by PCA.
