Abstract: To develop and utilize talcose-molybdenite ore in Henan reasonably and efficiently, the research on process mineralogy was detailedly investigated by the international automatic quantitative mineral technology MLA combining with the means of optical microscopy, chemical phase analysis,etc..The results show that molybdenite is the main valuable mineral and the rest of sulfide minerals are pyrite, sphalerite and chalcopyrite.Magnetite and hematite are the main metal oxide minerals in the ore. Most of molybdenite is disseminated in forms of coarse grain in the ore, however, part of molybdenite is distributed in the ore in forms of stellate and disseminated structure, which is very fine and not easy to liberate completely.Fine grinding is necessary, but it is harmful for flotation after fine grinding because clay mineral, chlorite and serpentine are closely associated with molybdenite in the ore.Based on the findings above,it is recommended that the beneficiation adopts the technical route with stages grinding for this ore.
