Abstract: There is 17.55% lead in lead-silver residues made from a zinc sulfide concentrate of a smelting plant in Guangdong via oxygen pressure acid leaching and sulfur flotation process,89.74% of the lead exists in form of lead sulfate.Lead is fine disseminated in lead-silver residues,98.18% distributed in -40 μm fraction. In order to recover the valuable metal lead in lead-silver residues, beneficiation experiments were conducted. The results showed that after treated by running water, using lime as a pH adjusting agent, sodium silicate as gangue inhibitors,CSY for the collector, alcohol oil as a foaming agent, through the flotation process of one roughing-three cleaning-two scavenging, lead concentrate with lead grade of 50.28% and recovery 82.42% was obtained.Good beneficiation test results had been obtained, which provide technique basis for reasonably use of the lead-silver residues.
