Process Mineralogy Investigation of a Deep Buried Iron Ore in Dataigou

Abstract: Dataigou iron ore belongs to quartzite type magnetite.Iron grade of ore is 34.70%,main valuable mineral is magnetite,iron distribution rate in magnetite is 81.67%,main gangue mineral is quartz,muscovite,chlorite,etc.Process mineralogy study was conducted to provide technique basis for rational beneficiation process determination.Main mineral structure is metasomatic structure or metasomatic relict structure,euhedral-granular structure,hypidiomorphic-allotriomorphic structure;While main texture is banded texture,disseminated structure,dense block structure.Magnetite mainly in form of euhedral-granular structure,hypidiomorphic structure in gangue mineral of quartz,mica,etc.Hematite usually confluents with magnetite in metasomatic structure,results from magnetite oxidation in late period,single crystal hematite was few.Magnetite native granularity mainly is microfine or fine grain,distributed unevenly,overall magnetite is finely disseminated,but basically in the range for separation.
