Abstract: A method of modeling the configuration structure of product family is proposed by using modularization technology and object-oriented method and in combination with the object characteristics. And based on the configuration rule of variables and object characteristics, a configuration strategy is given which adopts the arithmetic of preorder traversal of a tree to search for the configuration structural model, thus realizing a product configuration based on product family. The application of the method in the crushing-screening combined equipment system has proved its feasibility
