Abstract: With more and more transmission lines having to pass mining areas, it is necessary to be fully aware of the collapse and deformation features of the goaf area and the scientific law of its occurrence and development so as to take rational control measures, which can not only ensure the reliable operation of transmission lines, but can also greatly improve the construction quality and economic benefit. In light of the different relative position between the goaf area in coal mines and the ground transmission towers, the interaction and mutual influence between goaf area and tower foundation is analyzed by finite difference software FLAC3D. The analysis conclusion can be used as reference in site selection. Based on the influence scope estimation made before the mining, the rock strata within the influence scope can be avoided from being mined, which is the key to ensure the iron tower safety and the prevention the people's life and property from damage.
