Optimized Design of KKД -500 Gyratory Crusher Chamber and Its Test Analysis

Abstract: As KKД -500 gyratory crusher has large nip angle, linear steep crushing chamber profile, different throughputs of cross sections along the chamber height, it has poor crushing performance and short liner service life. Based on the structural analysis of the original crushing chamber, in the design principle of variable nip angle, the curve equations for moving cone lining and the fixed cone lining were setup by multi-stage fitted curves. Lining curves were plotted by computer, the lining structure determined, and the chamber profile optimized. The crushing test on a high-aluminum ore indicates that the crushing performance and capacity are evidently improved by using new type crushing chamber.
