Abstract: A Bauxite Flotation Tailings was roasted at 600 ℃ for 3 h，then leached in sulfuric acid of concentration 45% at 100 ℃ for 3 h with a liquid-to-solid ratio of 5∶，and the leaching rates of Aluminum and Ferric reached 61.65% and 94.10% respectively.The product of liquid Polymeric Aluminum Ferric Sulfate which was prepared with the leaching solution by adding proper amount of ferrous sulfate and hydrogen peroxide accorded with the national standard.The coagulation tests results for different kinds of water indicated that the product was very efficient to the removal of turbidity and suspended substance.
