Abstract: Mineral processing wastewater contains large amounts of suspended solids，heavy metals ions，and variety kinds of flotation reagents residue etc.and which are important potential factors for formation of the mine environmental pollution.In order to promote better development of mineral processing wastewater treatment and cyclic utilization technology，based on the introduction of the sources，water quality characteristics and harm of mineral processing waste water，the principle，present situation，the advantages and disadvantages of the natural purification，acid and alkali neutralization，coagulation sedimentation and chemical oxidation etc typical wastewater treatment technology and artificial wetland，microbial treatment and photo-catalytic oxidation etc new-type technology were analyzed.The present situation and application range of mineral processing wastewater cyclic utilization technology were expounded from centralized and scattered reuse two aspects.Research and development directions on mineral processing wastewater treatment are put forward at last.
