    Due to the actual project of Xiagao iron mine, there are some technical difficulties at ore recovery and security in the early stage of using the open-stoping method. Through multi-program comparison, it is determined that the caving method is adopted at later period of mining. But various techniques and skills for conversion and control exist during transition process. The paper puts forward the relevant measures in view of these difficulties, and has been better applied in mining engineering. Then, the technical difficulties for the ore recovery and mine safety are solved.

    In view of low rock strength and poor stability condition of open-pit slope in Miaogou iron mine, and based on systematical field investigation on engineering-geological condition, hydro-geological condition, rock mass structure, physical and mechanical properties of rock mall of the open-pit slope, the back analysis of rock mass parameters was made by applying the Geo-slope to determine the proper mechanical parameters index of rock mass, with the combination of the numerical simulation and the limit equilibrium method of the principle of the modern rock mechanics, and with rock mass parameters obtained. The study provides a basis for ensuring reasonability and reliability of the slope expansion in the mine.

    There appears a lot of water in borehole with the pen pit deepening. The paper described the concept on open-pit water pressure pre-blasting by large-diameter vertical drilling, explored a set of techniques including a method to determine main blasting paramagnets, and the evaluation of water pressure pre-blasting, and the key technique of borehole charging and blasting hole stemming, and instant slope-forming by pre-split and cushion blasting. Through on-site application in Shouyun Iron Ore, a good effect with the ratio of vibration reduction of more than 65%, and backlash burst reduced by 38.5% was obtained. This technique can effectively improve the stability of the open-pit slope and lower slope maintenance costs.

    In view of the mutability in deformation and failure of the rock mass, and combined with the theory of the material mechanics, a cusp catastrophe model of rock beam-pillar was build. The destabilization mechanism of pillar was analyzed, and the conditions and energy of system failure also were found through the model. The research results show that the stability of rock beam-pillar depends on the mechanical geometry characteristic of the system, and it has nothing to do with the external factors. Finally, with a gold mine as a case, the rationality of selecting the structural parameters of stope were analyzed and judged through the instability condition of system.

    The exploration causes the damage to the overburdens in Nanminghe Iron Mine and easily leads to the seepage of the upper water, which threatens the safety of mine. In order to guarantee the safety of the underground production, the strata pressure on-line monitoring system is adopted to monitor the displacement and abscission layer of the surrounding rock in the across vein roadway of Nanminghe Iron Mine in real time. The monitoring results show that the maximum value of the roof convergence is 9mm in the across-vein roadway with the strata-pressure behaviors not distinct. The research results showed that the mining under the ordovician limestone water was in safety by the current mining method.

    The optimal mining depth of gently inclined ore deposit along the inclination not only determines the width of ore block, but also decides the stage height of the development of ore deposit when the mine field spreads along the trend of the ore deposit. According to the characteristics of the stage height optimization of gently inclined and thin ore deposit, this paper separately established the functional relationship between the cost of basic construction, the transportation cost of the ore, the ventilation cost, the drainage cost and the stage height by using the linear regression and limited with compared method for the research object of mine in western Hubei. It is achieved that the relationship between the stage height and the unit cost of the ore is the quadratic function. The research result shows that 23.625 meters of the stage height is optimal height in mining with lowest costs per unit ore when the length of the Minefield is 1000meters and the thickness of the ore is 3.7meters and the dip angle is 8°.

    The paper introduced that the gravity-flowed filling was successfully achieved under extra great times line conditions by three techniques of large diameter, small flow and low flow rate, according to the law of high concentration slurry pipeline transportation in Jianchaling Nickel Industry Co., Ltd. Then, the gravity-lowed cemented filling with high concentration slurry pipeline was realized with significant economic and technical benefits obtained. Lastly, the general applicability of this technique and its innovation were evaluated.

    Based on the SMP failure criterion of clay materials affected by the principal stress, and  considering stress conditions on goaf and roadway, the formula of the coal pillar width under two conditions is obtained. In the meantime, the plastic-zone width of the coal pillar in plane strain is inferred by using the limit equilibrium method. Compared with results obtained by Mohr-Coulomb failure criterion by changing the coal internal friction angle and cohesion, it shows that the traditional approach failed to make fully consideration of ultimate strength of the coal, and coal pillar size was designed conservatively. The calculation on coal pillar width based on SMP failure criterion is not only effective, but it will take an important significance in improving the production efficiency of the coal mine.

    Based on the rock dynamic destabilizing phenomena, the mechanical model of two rocks system was established. The destabilizing condition and process of two rocks system were analyzed, and rock dynamic destabilizing critical condition was given to strictly confirm the end of rock dynamic destabilization. The elastic energy release illustration in paper contains high amounts of information. Together with load-displacement of bodyⅠ, the elastic energy releasing characteristics of rock dynamic destabilization was described by image. The result showed that: bodyⅠcurve index m and body Ⅱ stiffness kn are two important factors which impact the elastic energy release of rock dynamic destabilization, and either m increases or kn decreases can lead to the increase of elastic energy release.

    In order to solve the safety backfilling problem of surface subsidence about underground ore-body caving mining in Jinshandian Iron Ore, the similarity principle is adopted to make similar model for the simulation test of caving. The collapse mode and impact analysis of surface backfill while mining at different section are found out. The tests show that the most active area of surface backfill is right above the drawing outlet. It provides necessary scientific basis to determine the key prevention area as backfilling and guide the safety backfilling of subsidence area.

    Through the research and analysis of extension mining method without expansion side slope from open-pit to underground mining, and combining with the actual situation in Guilaizhuang open-pit mine, the reasonable mining depth in terms of the extension method without expanding side slope was theoretically calculated, and the scheme of different depth for different section was put forward. After the extension mining of open-pit, cement shall be employed as filling stuff, which may serve as the man-made shore for underground mining with an average thickness of 12 m. As for the triangle pillars remained from the upward side, the extraction process should be conducted with the upper inlet cementation filling method. Then the cementation filling with reinforcement shall be used to combine the filling stuff of the extraction room with the man-made shore. This artificial bottom shaped from filling may greatly increase the stability and safety of the original side slope. In this view, the afterward problems, such as the low recovery rate of the isolated pillars, difficulty in mining, may be readily solved, which enables the stable transition from open-pit to underground mining and achieves a high-efficient production.

    In view of the features of large reserves,low grade, deep chute, high level of fine ore, and large capacity in Zijinshan Gold Mine, and together with the impact of 1600 mm annual rainfall, the design, construction, congestion handling technology for eight deep chutes are introduced in Zijinshan open pit gold mine. Based on this, the technical measures for safe and high efficient operation of the chute are proposed, and the economic analysis and evaluation on the adit chute technique are made. The application of the adit chute in safety and high efficiency in Zijinshan gold mine greatly reduce the transportation costs, with good economic and social benefits achieved.

    Based on an auxiliary rail roadway for mining engineering background, this paper analyzes the roof falling mechanism of brickwork roadway, the main reason of which are as follows: ① gaps exist between brickwork and two sides, and between brickwork and roof, and brickwork can not support surrounding rock promptly and effectively; ② bolt parameters are unreasonable, and bolt and anchor can not control roof sinking effectively, resulting in roof falling accident. According to the roof falling characteristics and mechanism of brickwork roadway, support technologies of roof falling roadway are proposed: ① lay brickworks, and fill the gap between brickwork and surrounding rock with the application of high water quick-setting material; ② with the use of high water quick-setting material, the broken surrounding rocks are grouted and strengthened; ③bolt and anchor are used to make the reinforced support of roof falling roadway. On-site mine pressure monitoring results show that this kind of technology can not only ensure construction safety, but also improve the integrity and overall bearing capability of surrounding rock, and control effectively the deformation of surrounding rock.

    According to the project construction of Xiang'an undersea tunnel, numerical simulation on loosen zone of surrounding rock after blasting was conducted by using FLAC3D software. And the ultrasonic wave method was applied to measure the loosening zone of representative A1 tenders F4 weathering groove. By the contrast and analysis, it is indicated that the numerical results and the test results are consistent. The research results provided a basis and guide for determining the support parameters for loosening zone of surrounding rock.

    To study the association between the rock burst proneness of rock and the acoustic emission characteristics in the loading process, the quantitative relationship of acoustic emission cumulative number and the strain in the loading processes with different rock burst proneness are established; Meanwhile, the laboratory experiments on three kinds of rock with different rock burst proneness under uniaxial loading are made to study the acoustic emission characteristics, which have verified its accuracy. The results show that when rock burst proneness of rock is stronger, ,the acoustic emission appear only sporadically before the main failure with the increase of dependent variable, and the energy is less; The acoustic emission after the main failure almost have none, while the acoustic emission number and energy are significant in the main failure. On the other hand, when rock burst proneness is weaker, small acoustic emission have appeared soon after loading, with no rules in time, and there is no stage with significant change of acoustic emission rate.

    According to the frequency and harmfulness of rock burst in coal pillar, two kinds of pillar design methods were proposed for rock burst prevention based on mechanical elastic-plastic model. The width of yield pillar and load pillar were calculated separately with mechanics method, which considered the rock burst prevention and the theoretical formula of reasonable width was obtained. Based on the practical geological situation, the optimized plan was selected to carry out, and then the seismic activity and frequency of rock burst were contrasted. The result showed that the risk of rock burst was greatly decreased after the pillar width optimized. The research provided a basis for determining reasonable pillar width for rock burst prevention, with a certain theoretical significance and practical value.

    In this paper, the industrial test on the step-flotation of ire ore containing high carbonate iron in Dong'anshan was studied on the basis of the early lab researches. The flotation concentrate with Fe grade of 64.80% and the Fe recovery 72.89% has been gained in the industrial test, which confirms the feasibility of step-flotation process in industrial application. During the tests, the entire process of rough concentration-gravity separation-magnetic separation-step flotation was investigated. The results indicated that the iron ore containing high ferric carbonate in Dong'anshan that can not be used in the past now was exploited by the step-flotation, obtaining comprehensive iron concentrate with Fe grade 63.02%, and Fe recovery of 63.77%.

    In order to resolve the flotation issues of iron ores containing high content of ferric carbonates in Dong'anshan Iron Ore, the nature floatability of pure minerals including martite, magnetite, siderite and quartz in sodium oleate flotation system were investigated, and the effects of CaCl2, starch and the compound regulatant of CaCl2 and starch on flotation of the pure minerals were studied as well. The results showed that with the compound regulatant of CaCl2 and starch, siderite was separated firstly in neutral condition, partly removing the effect of siderite on flotation, and then the reverse flotation was adopted to separate quart at high pH value condition. Therefore, the separation of iron ore containing high content of ferric carbonates in Dong'anshan by flotation was achieved.

    In order to provide a basis for development and utilization of a poor Anshan-type hematite ore, the optimization of the steel ball system of grinding and the concentration tests were carried out. The results showed that with the ball mill of φ160 mm×180 mm, the products with slight sliming in grinding process was supplied for the latter beneficiation when the ball diameters were 15, 20 and 25 mm (its mass ratio are 24%, 36%, 40% respectively). When the ore was ground to the size of 75% -0.071 mm under the steel ball system of grinding, a combined concentrate with iron grade and recovery of 66.69% and 76.22% separately was obtained through the beneficiation flow-sheet of classification-gravity concentration-magnetic separation-reverse flotation.

    In view of disadvantages of present iron and boron separation technology, this paper proposed to adopt the RHF iron bead technology to treat the boron-bearing iron concentrate, and then it was verified by the thermodynamic feasibility analysis and laboratory tests. The laboratory research indicated that for the boron-bearing iron concentrate with Fe and B2O3 content of 47.20% and 6.90% respectively in Fengcheng of Liangning, an effective separation of slags and iron was realized by taking anthracite used in Laiwu Iron and Steel Company as reductant, QT-10 as pelletizing binder, high-temperature silicon-molybdenum furnace to simulate the rotary hearth furnace, under conditions of the mixing ratio of boron-bearing iron concentrate and coal dust at 83.3% and 16.7%, the amount of binder occupying 2% of total mass of concentrate and coal dust, moisture content in mixing materials at 7%, and carbon pellet calcined at 1 400 ℃ for 15 min. By this process, the boron-bearing iron beads and the high active boron-bearing steel slags obtained can be used as high-quality raw materials for steelmaking and boron chemical industry separately.

    Due to the characteristics of fine disseminated refractory arsenic-bearing lead-zinc ore in Hebei, beneficiation tests on selective flotation of lead and zinc under high-alkaline conditions were carried out through a lot of exploration. In the rough separation test of lead, the resultant inhibitor of sodium sulfite+zinc sulfate+JSY01 was adopted to inhibit the zinc-sulfur-arsenic minerals, and in the rough concentration of zinc, the copper sulfate was used to activate the zinc minerals. In the final separation of lead and zinc, the potassium permanganate and the lime + potassium permanganate were adopted separately to inhibit arsenopyrite. By this way, lead concentrate with grade of 75.62%, recovery of 87.63%, and arsenic content of 0.28% and zinc concentrate with grade of 45.73%, recovery of 83.51% and arsenic content of 0.44% were achieved, thus providing a basis for the design of the dressing plant.

    The flow-sheet of copper-sulfide bulk flotation-copper-sulfide flotation separation and middlings returning in order in dressing plant of Yongping Copper Mine was carried out. The insufficient liberation of single mineral in middlings affects the recovery of copper. To this end, the laboratory tests and industrial tests were carried out to improve the recovery of copper in Yongping copper mine through the process of selective-classification regrinding of middlings. The lab tests indicated that compared with the original process, the new process increased copper recovery by 0.64%, and copper concentrate grade by 043%; In industrial tests, the copper recovery was increased by 0.89%, and copper grade improved by 0.38% by the new process. All these confirmed the feasibility of the new process in industrial implementation.

    In order to efficiently make use of carbonate fluorite in Suichang of Zhejiang, the inhibitor and collector were studied with to carry out the beneficiation tests for the ore. The results showed that the flotation separation of fluorite and calcite was successfully achieved by adopting the combining inhibitors of new self-developed collector KY-110 and sodium silicate + humic acid inhibitors. Through the closed-circuit process of one roughing-one scavenging-seven cleaning, fluorite concentrate with CaF2 grade of 97.11%, CaO content of 0.96%, CaF2 recovery of 69.90% was obtained.

    To promote beneficiation level of high-talc-based refractory kamiokate ore of Shangfanggou in Henan, the paper studied its process mineralogy. The results showed that the main valuable minerals are molybdenite and magnetite; High level of harmful talcum and fine grain of molybdenite and magnetite are the main reasons of being difficult to separate. There are closely relationship between magnetite and talcum, while nearly none of magnetite border on molybdenite. Therefore, in beneficiation process, talc accompanying with magnetite are firstly considered to be separated by rough magnetic separation, and then non-magnetic minerals are separated from molybdenite by flotation.

    There commonly exist pyrite minerals in coal-bearing strata in one region, but it is difficult to separate. Therefore, taking the pyrite minerals from the mine as samples, the process mineralogy on this sample was made. The results indicated that the key reason of being hard to separate this kind of pyrite was because of its fine disseminated particle, and close intergrowth with gangue minerals. In order to make the pyrite's single mineral separation degree up to 80%, it needs to be ground to below 10 μm.

    It is estimated from pressure data of fluid inclusion that gold deposits in the northwestern of Jiaodong peninsular were formed between the upper limits of 2 to 3 km and the lower limits of 5 to 8 km.Taking into consideration of the age,formation depth and occurrence of Mesozoic granitoid in this area,the gold deposit hosting block were roughly lifted and eroded 2.0 to 2.5 km,with estimated minimum of 1.5 km and maximum of 3.0 km.Hence,there is slight erosion in the gold ore forming in the northwest of Jiaodong,which belongs to the well preserved hydrothermal system.It is inferred that there is a great potential of gold resource above 3 km in depth of the main ore deposit hosting faults in the northwest of Jiaodong peninsular.

    The problem of vehicle scheduling in open pit mine are analyzed to build the mathematical model of resolving the vehicle scheduling problem. The vehicle scheduling problem belongs to the NP-complete problem in fact. Building the multi-objective programming is to get the minimum total volume. Finally, the application case of the vehicle scheduling optimization in Sandaozhuang open pit based on immune algorithm shows that the optimal solution can be rapidly obtained by the algorithm and it is an effective algorithm for resolving the vehicle scheduling problem.

This paper analyzes the effects of each parameter of the fuel injection system on the performance of diesel engine, and proposes a series of improvement methods, in view of the existing problems and the causes of X6105 diesel engine. Through bench tests, the optimal match condition of this engine's fuel injection system was found out, achieving the goals of improving the performance of the engine, enhancing the market competition, widening the application fields and adapting to the requirements of the down-hole power unit.

    Taking tailing sand from Shenyang Hunnan Mining Corporation as raw materiel, the flume model tests on the piping mechanism were conducted to observe and analyze the mechanism and whole development processes from piping generation, developing, and dam failure in view of the foundation of tailings dam. The experimental results showed that piping failure occurred at the top of the weak permeable layer. Piping extends only to a limited area and will stop when hydraulic head is lower than the critical value. There, the piping is not connected with rivers. Otherwise, if hydraulic head exceeds the critical value, piping will propagate persistently towards rivers and the strong rush in piping finally results in failure of the whole foundation. Meanwhile, in the case of the change of foundation thickness, the law of seepage amount, sand ring diameter, piezometric head, piping breach time etc were respectively explored.

    In order to efficiently seal air leakage to prevent spontaneous combustion of coal, a solidified foam of organic minerals with high inflation rate, rapid response, adjustable coagulation time and environment-friendly was preliminary developed. The foaming mechanism and bubble-steady mechanism of this organic solidified foam were theoretically discussed, and the performance index of the solidified foam with different components was studied. Then, the paper introduced the feature and utilization of the solidified foam. Good effects on controlling coal spontaneous combustion at W2 return-tunnel of Xiaoqing Coal Mine were achieved by adopting this foam.

    Airflow temperature in underground roadways is affected by various factors, such as the original rock temperature, the heat transfer performance of wall rock, the time of heat exchange between rock and airflow, and other heat sources, in which heat transfer of wall rock plays a key role. In order to analyze the influence of heat transfer of surrounding rock on airflow temperature, this paper analyzes basic impact rules of heat exchange between walk rock and airflow in dry horizontal roadways on airflow temperature through the theoretical calculation, according to the heat transfer rule of wall rocks and air flow. This provides a more accurate forecast value for the mine ventilation design, which makes the design more precision.

    The erythromycin pharmaceutical waste residues discharged from one pharmaceutical company was used as a biosorbent to simulate the absorption tests of Pb2+. And the thermodynamic analysis on the adsorption process was carried out. The results showed that the modification of sodium hydroxide significantly improved the adsorption capacity of the erythromycin waste residues;The erythromycin waste residues modified by sodium hydroxide was used to treat the Pb2+ wastewater with the initial concentration of 11.8 mg/L, obtaining the appropriate conditions are solution pH=3.5, adsorption time 15 min and the dosage of residues 2 g/L at room temperature. Langmuir isotherm equation can well describe the adsorption behavior of erythromycin residues to Pb2+.

    Taking the plant waste as modifier of red mud, the preparation process of cultivated soil rehabilitated from red mud with wide applicability, which can treat with a large number of red mud was investigated. The basic principle of this technique was that the harmful elements in red mud are diluted by and made a complex (sequestration) process with humic acids produced by the hydrolysis and fermentation of plant waste and with the alkaline in humus and red mud so as to improve the porosity for the red mud and supply with the needs for plant growth. Good results have been achieved to prepare the cultivated soil rehabilitated from red mud by using corn stalks, bagasse and wastewater, weeds as modifier of red mud respectively in the tests, Among these, the test with corn stalks as a modifier showed that the plants grew normally in the cultivated soil with the bulk density of 1.3 g/cm3, and pH value at 7.9.

    A Lead-zinc tailing of Hunan has a high content of fluorite and barite with similar floatability. In order to recover the fluorite from tailings, an effective separation between fluorite and barite was realized through the closed-circuit process of one roughing, one scavenging and four cleaning with water glass, aluminum sulfate, and tannin as inhibitors of barite and other gangue minerals, and sodium oleate as collector of fluorite. In the process, the fluorite concentrate with CaF2 grade of 95.06% and CaF2 recovery rate 96.58% was obtained.
